MEET OUR NEW PASTOR
Pastor Michael Barnett
Michael Barnett grew up in north county San Diego and married his wife Michelle in 1995. A few weeks later they moved to Minnesota to re-plant a church. The church grew from 12 people to well over 100 quickly, and peaking out around 250 persons on big events - it was a fun journey. While in Minnesota, their two children were born there and after 16 years of fruitful service, they moved back home to San Marcos, California. Mike enjoys , hiking, fishing, traveling and reading when he is not empowering others to “Experience the Kingdom of God” in fresh and tangible ways. Mike especially enjoys teaching people how to connect with God by having a daily quiet time that draws them closer to God and further away from the things of this world. The result is more love, joy, peace, wisdom, purpose, abundance and freedom in their everyday lives. Watching people grow in Christ and in the fullness of the Kingdom is his most favorite thing to do by far. !
Set - Up Team
So many wonderful people come together every Sunday to make The Bridge the wonderful church that it is. To get things started it’s the Set - Up Team. What a great group of guys that come together to do the Lord’s work. We work hard, but we also have lots of fun together. These are the guys that make it happen.
Welcome Team
When you first come into The Bridge you will receive a warm welcome from our Welcome Team. You’ll also receive a program that details the service. In your program will be an outline of the Sunday message, a communication card for your prayer requests and comments and an offering envelope. The Welcome Team provide fresh coffee and usually a nice snack or lunch after the service. Cindy Marks (in the flowered blouse) leads our team and they look forward to meeting you this Sunday. :-)
Worship Team
Music is a big part of any church and The Bridge is no exception. Christians worship God and sing; it’s what we do. Our band works hard to bring some great music to our service. It’s mostly upbeat music with drums and guitars. Carlos, to the far right brings in some wonderful keyboard tones. We think you will really connect with our music and our band. We hope to see you this Sunday!
Dream Team
Children and kids are very important to our church. Our Children’s Ministry is called the Dream Team. We hope and pray that our church helps kids learn how to develop a wonderful God inspired dream for their lives. Audrey Norling (second from right back row) leads our team along with many other wonderful volunteers that look forward to connecting with your kids. :-)
