The Senior Leader of The Bridge is Jesus Christ. He is the leader of our church and the Chief Shepherd. (1 Peter 5:4) Serving under Him is Pastor Greg (right) along with Mike Young, Jay Taylor, and Jeanne DeGenaro (left to right).
The goal of our leadership team is to love, guide and care for the flock like we believe Jesus would. That's not an easy challenge but our hearts are dedicated to serving God and our church family!
We also have many volunteers at The Bridge that assist us in our ministry. We are very grateful for the dedicated volunteers that serve Jesus Christ through our church.
Greg grew up on the Gulf Coast of Texas, and came to San Diego after graduating from high school. He holds a marketing degree from Hayward State University and a Masters of Divinity from Golden Gate Theological Seminary. Greg's hobbies include surfing and golfing, and he travels back to Texas at least once a year to brush up on his accent!
Greg has been in full time ministry his entire life. He brings 30 years of ministry experience to The Bridge; 10 years as an evangelist, 10 years as a Youth Pastor, and 10 years as a Teaching Pastor.
Greg considers himself a practical theologian and teaches the church how to apply the Bible to everyday life. The ultimate goal of Bible knowledge is transformation not just information. The Bridge is a Bible based church that strives to put God's truth into practice. One of the most practical ways we put God's Word into action is by loving others, accepting others, and forgiving others. That's where the rubber meets the road and what The Bridge is all about!
